USCToMM 2022

The 2nd symposium being organized by the U.S. Committee for the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms (USCToMM). The USCToMM is the United States' Member Organization of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). This series of symposia is designed to foster meaningful interactions and collaborations: single track, peer-reviewed papers, 20-minute presentations plus 10 minutes for Q & A allowing for substantial discussions, and a social program that fosters networking and collaborations among attendees.

The 2022 USCToMM Symposium on Mechanical Systems and Robotics (2022 USCToMM MSR Symposium) will be held Thursday through Saturday, May 19-21, 2022, on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City South Dakota. The symposium will include a Friday evening conference dinner at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

We have entered into an agreement for Springer to publish the proceedings of the 2022 USCToMM Mechanical Systems and Robotics Symposium. The proceedings will be published in Springer’s Mechanism and Machine Science book series. All accepted papers will be indexed in Scopus, Ei Compendex and Web of Science.

A formal Call for Papers (CFP) is attached. Submissions of full papers are due December 15th. The USCToMM MSR Symposium welcomes submissions that address: The USCToMM MSR Symposium welcomes submissions that address: Specialized Robotic Systems; Soft, Wearable & Origami Robotic Systems; Applications to Walking, Flying, Climbing, Ground, Underground, Swimming, & Space Systems; Human Rehabilitation & Performance Augmentation; Design and Analysis of Mechanisms & Machines, Human-Robot Collaborative Systems; Service Robotics; Mechanical Systems & Robotics Education; Commercialization of Mechanical Systems & Robotics; and related topics.

Please do consider submitting your work and attending MSR 2022. Also, please do help us spread the word about this inaugural USCToMM Symposium by sending out the CFP to your friends and students, by posting the CFP at information boards of both in-person and virtual conferences you attend, etc.
